Horror has become incredibly popular on television recently. While networks used to offer just a few horror shows each year, streaming services have turned it into a huge market. Last year, HBO released IT: Welcome to Derry, greatly expanding the Stephen King universe with more planned. Even Netflix, despite not focusing solely on horror, has seen massive success with shows like Stranger Things and Wednesday, which both fall into the genre. But none of these compare to the very best horror show available on streaming – and it’s just been renewed for another season!
MGM+ has announced that the hit series From will return for a fifth and final season, ahead of the Season 4 premiere this week. Production is slated to begin later this year in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with the concluding episodes expected to arrive in 2027. While fans will get answers to the show’s mysteries, the creators hint that those answers may raise even more questions.
From Officially Confirmed for Fifth and Final Season

The creators of the show – John Griffin, Jeff Pinkner, and Jack Bender – expressed their excitement about being able to finish the story, hinting at satisfying answers and plenty of suspense. Michael Wright, head of MGM+, shared that he’s been anticipating this renewal for years, ever since he first heard the show’s concept. He also addressed the dedicated fanbase, promising a final season that will be just as captivating as the mystery it unravels.
I’m really getting into From, starring Harold Perrineau. It’s about this town that basically traps anyone who comes near, and it’s seriously creepy. He plays Boyd Stevens, who’s kind of the sheriff and runs things, and he has to deal with these terrifying creatures that come out at night while trying to figure out what the heck is going on. Season 4 is especially intense – the more the people in town learn, the scarier things get, honestly!
The show From has consistently received excellent reviews since it began. Each season has earned incredibly high scores on Rotten Tomatoes – Season 1 scored 96%, Season 2 dipped slightly to 93%, and Season 3 achieved a perfect 100% rating based on 25 critic reviews. Early reviews for Season 4 are also positive, with all three released reviews praising the new season, including a 4.5 out of 5 rating from ComicBook.com’s Nicole Drum, suggesting a promising outlook for the upcoming fifth season.
