Fortnite is teaming up with Star Wars again this year! Players can now watch special clips from the hit show, The Mandalorian, featuring Grogu.
After the popular TV series, The Mandalorian, comes a new movie continuing the story of The Mandalorian and Grogu, set to be released later this month.
The Mandalorian, which ran for three seasons, centers on bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his unexpected journey caring for Grogu, a child strong with the Force.
Fortnite and Star Wars have teamed up again, and this time, players can look forward to new Islands and game modes. These include a scary mode where you try to escape Darth Vader, similar to the gameplay of Dead by Daylight, and a creative mode where you can design and build your own droids.
But for many, the highlight of this event will be The Mandalorian and Grogu Watch Party Island.

Players can enter the island on May 19, 2026, at 3 PM British Summer Time (10 AM Eastern Time). They’ll first see a special message from director Jon Favreau, followed by a 10-minute preview of the movie.
Just a week after the movie comes out, players can return to the Island for a special Q&A session with the director, Jon Favreau. He’ll be answering questions submitted by the community about how the film was made.
The Star Wars event will bring new islands to Fortnite, along with the classic features fans expect. Throughout May, the Fortnite Item Shop will feature a variety of Star Wars outfits, including both new and returning favorites.
On May 14th, LEGO Fortnite’s Odyssey mode will be adding a Star Wars update! Players can look forward to new items like the Hover Brick, plus hover vehicles, and iconic characters like Mando and Grogu. The update will also include enemies from the Star Wars universe.
If you enjoy both Star Wars and Fortnite, you’ll have plenty to do while you wait for the movie featuring The Mandalorian and Grogu to come out.
The Mandalorian and Grogu is coming to cinemas on Friday 22 May 2026.
