The Tuner trailer from a company with a great pedigree ……
As we’ve said before, we’re impressed with Black Bear, a company that’s released a consistently strong collection of films over the last five years, including titles like Conclave, The Son, Dumb Money, Ferrari, Origin, Long Legs, The Monkey, Keeper, Shelter, and Relay. We recommend checking them all out, so we were excited when the trailer for their new film, Tuner, was released – the story idea is fantastic.
That Tuner trailer story….
This story follows a talented piano tuner whose precise ear and skill with tuning unexpectedly translate to a knack for opening safes, dramatically changing his life—and not necessarily for the better.
The cast…
The film stars Leo Woodall, known for his roles in Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, One Day, and The White Lotus, alongside Havana Rose Liu (Bottoms), Lior Raz (Gladiator II), Jean Reno (Léon: The Professional), and Academy Award winner Dustin Hoffman (Kramer Vs. Kramer, Rain Man). It’s been a while since Hoffman has been in a truly good film – we’d rather not remember his last one!
The Oscar winner behind it all…
I was completely captivated by the trailer for Daniel Roher’s new film! He’s the Oscar-winning director behind ‘Navalny,’ which followed Alexei Navalny after he was poisoned in 2020. The film shows his incredible recovery and his determination to uncover the truth behind the attack, even leading him to return home. It looks absolutely stunning, and I was so excited to hear it was a surprise premiere at the 69th BFI London Film Festival last October and recently screened at Sundance too!
TUNER IS IN CINEMAS ACROSS UK & IRELAND on 29th MAY 2026
