You know you love Blake Lively at the Met Gala.
That’s why the former Gossip Girl star was invited to this year’s fashion fundraiser, despite reports claiming she had purchased a ticket to the event at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 4. (You can see photos of all the celebrities who attended here.)
According to a source, Blake attended a private event hosted by Vogue and Anna Wintour. Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams also co-hosted the exclusive gathering.
Despite announcing a settlement in her year-long legal dispute with Justin Baldoni, her It Ends With Us co-star, just hours earlier, Blake still made a surprising appearance at the glamorous party.
Everyone involved with the film It Ends With Us is proud of it, according to a joint statement from the legal teams representing both the film and Justin. They share a commitment to raising awareness and supporting survivors of domestic violence and all types of trauma.
The lawyers stated they understood the process was difficult and that Ms. Lively’s concerns were valid and should have been addressed.
We are dedicated to maintaining workplaces that are ethical and productive. We hope this situation is resolved, allowing everyone involved to move forward peacefully and with mutual respect.
Even though Ryan Reynolds wasn’t at the 2026 Met Gala, Blake Lively still had family there. Her cousin, William McAlpin, accompanied her and helped carry the long train of her Versace gown as she climbed the museum steps.

Blake finished her outfit with a purse that was a sweet nod to her children – James, 11, Inez, 9, Betty, 6, and Olin, 3. Her look included lavender crystals and a dress skirt with colors inspired by Venetian Rococo art.
She explained to Vogue that it was a Judith Leiber bag, and they wanted to feature a well-known, iconic artwork on it, making it appear as if it were displayed in a frame.
I asked if they could frame my children’s artwork as a custom project. Each of my four kids painted a watercolor painting, which I thought was really special, and I brought the paintings with me.
