
Big news for video game fans! Christopher McQuarrie, the director behind the Mission: Impossible films, and Michael B. Jordan, who recently won an Oscar and starred in Creed, are teaming up to create a live-action Battlefield movie. While there were previous efforts to adapt Battlefield into a TV series in 2012 and 2016, those plans never materialized, despite the game’s large and enthusiastic fanbase.
Taylor Sheridan is working on a Call of Duty movie, and now a film based on Call of Duty’s main competitor is also in development. Highly-regarded action director J.J. McQuarrie will write, direct, and produce the film, with Michael B. Jordan producing and potentially starring.
