For Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, the Met Gala was a smashing time. 

The 2026 event was a first for him – he’d never walked up the front steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art before. And it was even more meaningful because his wife, Lauren Hashian, was with him.

“This is our first Met Gala,” Dwayne shared with Zuri Hall during Live From TopMob: Met Gala 2026. “The great thing about the Met is that, unlike most big red carpets, we’re not focused on opening weekend numbers or competing for awards. It’s just a fun event.”

In fact, it made for a time when the Fast Five actor could relax and let his proverbial hair down. 

As he put it, “It’s fashion’s biggest night. It’s our first, and it’s awesome.”

Dwayne also looked fantastic in a striking black-and-white outfit by Thom Browne, which included a tailcoat and skirt.

But the most impressive thing he wore was definitely the watch – a $3.3 million diamond-covered timepiece from Jacob & Co., called the Billionaire III.

Lauren, who married Dwayne in 2019, also looked stunning in a white, halter-neck dress designed by Thom Browne. The dress was beautifully decorated with flowers.

After learning the gold medalist climbed the museum steps without her crutches, he said, “I really admire that woman. Actually, she’s had even more operations than I have.”
