XLGAMES announced that their multiplayer extraction action game, THE CUBE, SAVE US, will be available on Steam for PC in Early Access starting March 18th.

About
In the action-packed game THE CUBE, SAVE US, you’ll fight your way through a dangerous, post-apocalyptic world. Navigate through a series of unique cube-shaped levels, each filled with terrifying monsters. Battle both mutants and other players in intense close-quarters combat to escape and survive the cube.
Story
I remember those days like it was yesterday – a really tense time with the threat of another Cold War hanging over everything. It felt like the world was on a knife edge, and even a small incident could have blown up into something terrible.
It was then that the giant cube suddenly appeared in the sky.
It happened rapidly and with devastating consequences. World powers misinterpreted the situation as an attack, and before long, societies were destroyed by nuclear weapons.
It had been decades, and when the few people left finally felt safe enough to come out of hiding, it was a terrible mistake. That cube, still hanging in the sky all that time, just… consumed them. It was like it was waiting for someone to show themselves.
The cube proved to be a two-edged sword.
The few who made it back had what they needed to rebuild their lives, but many more didn’t survive at all.
As it is, you are left with two options.
Will you face the cubes, or will you simply perish?
The Versatile Worlds of Cubes
The cube in THE CUBE, SAVE US is made up of 27 versatile pieces or fragments.
Each time you pass a cube gate, the surroundings and mutants get shifted to keep you on edge.
No matter where I am – whether it’s a busy city, some ancient ruin, or even a theme park – I always need to be prepared. That means finding weapons and figuring out escape routes, just in case things go south. You never know what might happen, so being ready is key!
Fight and Survive
The moment you step inside the cube, you’ll be attacked by dangerous mutants and other raiders, who are simply trying to survive just like you are.
Use everything you know about close combat to fight and to survive.
Utilize skills, especially in critical moments.
Remember. Too much sparing of skills and supplies can get you killed.
The Raiders’ Lair: New Cinderfall
In the town of New Cinderfall, built by former outlaws seeking freedom from the strict rules of the rangers, residents with compelling pasts gather to support the raiders as they approach the mysterious cube.
Talk to other people to discover how to survive and learn the hidden truths of this broken world.
