Key Highlights
- KuCoin integrated Ondo Global Markets, giving users access to over 260 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs.
- Users can trade tokenized equities like Apple, Tesla, Nvidia, and ETFs tied to gold, silver, and the Nasdaq without a traditional brokerage account.
- This follows a trend of wallets evolving into full financial platforms, combining crypto and real-world assets onchain.
As an analyst, I’m following KuCoin’s latest move – they’ve integrated Ondo Finance into their Web3 Wallet. This is a big deal because it lets users around the world buy and hold tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs – over 260 of them, in fact – directly within the wallet. The key benefit here is that it’s a self-custody solution, meaning users maintain control of their assets and don’t need to rely on a traditional brokerage.
Now available, users can trade tokenized shares of popular companies like Nvidia, Apple, Tesla, Microsoft, and Amazon. Tokenized versions of ETFs tracking gold, silver, and the Nasdaq are also accessible.
KuCoin Web3 Wallet is partnering with Ondo Finance to bring tokenized US stocks and ETFs to its users. This means you’ll be able to trade real-world assets, like stocks, directly on the blockchain, just like any other crypto token. Here’s what to expect: over 260 tokenized traditional financial assets available from the start, plenty of trading activity, a user-friendly experience, and the convenience of managing both crypto and traditional assets in one wallet.

You can access these digital assets directly within your wallet, eliminating the need for a separate brokerage account. Trading is available on both Ethereum and BNB Chain, generally following a schedule similar to U.S. stock markets – meaning most of the week, but not 24/7.
Tokenized stocks now inside the wallet
As a KuCoin user, I’m really excited about their latest update! It’s more than just a crypto wallet now. Before, I could store my coins, swap them, and even trade perpetuals all within the app. Now, they’ve added the ability to hold traditional stock-linked assets alongside my crypto, which means I can manage everything in one place. It’s a big step beyond just crypto trading, making it a much more versatile tool for my investments.
As an analyst, I’ve been following KuCoin’s developments closely. Gas Meng, who leads their Web3 Wallet Operations, recently shared their vision for the wallet – and it’s about much more than just storing crypto. They see it evolving into a central hub, a trusted gateway that connects users to a wider world of opportunities within the blockchain space. It’s a move away from simply holding assets to actively participating in on-chain finance.
He explained that they aim to make it easy for people to manage both cryptocurrency and traditional investments in one place.
According to Min Lin, Managing Director of Global Business Development at Ondo Finance, KuCoin’s Web3 Wallet now offers access to over 260 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs. This allows the millions of users familiar with cryptocurrency to easily add traditional stocks to their digital portfolios – something that previously required a separate brokerage account.
Ondo’s role in the system
Ondo Global Markets creates and handles these digital versions of traditional investments. It lets people invest in stocks and ETFs by using blockchain tokens, which they can easily store and trade on a blockchain network.
These tokens mirror the value of real-world assets, allowing users to benefit from their price changes. However, owning these tokens doesn’t mean you own a part of the underlying companies or have a say in how they’re run.
This change reflects a growing trend in the cryptocurrency world: wallets are evolving beyond simply holding digital assets and are becoming comprehensive financial tools. Wallets like MetaMask and Trust Wallet have already begun integrating with Ondo’s platform, demonstrating increasing interest in tokenized versions of real-world assets.
