Hugh Jackman & Sutton Foster Bring Broadway Energy to Met Gala Debut

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster‘s Met Gala date night is music to our ears.

The popular Broadway couple traded the theater district for the Met Gala on May 4th, attending the annual fundraising event—known as fashion’s biggest night. You can see photos of all the stars arriving at the Met Gala 2026 here.

Hugh Jackman looked incredibly stylish, as always, in a classic black and white tuxedo by Armani. He added a touch of sparkle to his traditional outfit with a diamond pin on his lapel and a white pocket square.

For the “Fashion Is Art” event, Foster chose a sparkling, one-shoulder dress. She finished the look with a gold purse and shoes, and wore her hair down in waves.

Hugh Jackman, 57, and Deborra-Lee Furness, 51, looked happy together as they walked up the iconic steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, posing for photos and holding hands.

Before arriving at the Met Gala with his date, Hugh Jackman thanked the designers who created his outfit. On May 4th, he posted on X, mentioning @sfosternyc, @armani, @brionyraymondnewyork, and #thomasdunkin, along with a cute behind-the-scenes photo of him and his date, the actress from Thoroughly Modern Millie.

The couple first became romantically involved in January 2025, after meeting while performing together in the Broadway show The Music Man in 2022.
