Transformers Gives the Junkions a Dark New Look With a Shattered Glass Makeover

After four decades, the popular Junkions are getting a fresh wave of toys for collectors. The newest releases are updated versions of existing figures, featuring darker colors that create a more imposing and unified look for the biker gang.

Newage Toys is releasing new color schemes for its H75X Wyatt, H75CX Cowboy, and H75DX Cleon figures, inspired by the alternate reality of Shattered Glass. These new versions evoke a classic Decepticon team from the original Generation 1, as well as a well-known Cybertronian biker. While only color samples have been shown so far, fans can likely expect these figures to be available later this year – perfect for listening to Weird Al Yankovic!

Newage Toys Dares to NOT Be Stupid With Shattered Glass Junkion Prototype Reveal

I’m really excited about Newage Toys’ upcoming releases! They previously showed off prototypes based on the Junkions – Wreck-Gar and his crew as we saw them in The Transformers: The Movie. Now, they’re doing even more! They’re releasing new versions – H75X Wyatt, H75CX Cowboy, and H75DX Cleon – but these are the Shattered Glass versions of those same awesome characters. It’s a fantastic twist on a classic look!

The ‘Shattered Glass’ universe flips the traditional Transformers story, portraying the Autobots as villains and the Decepticons as heroes. The Junkions are depicted as a single, collective intelligence made up of similar robots. To reflect this darker take, the toys have been redesigned with purple, yellow, black, and gray colors, mirroring the look of the Generation 1 Insecticons and reinforcing the idea of both groups operating as a unified, swarming force.

The motorcycle Transformers featuring purple and yellow also subtly echo earlier designs. They’re reminiscent of Sideways, a character with a similar color scheme and vehicle form. There’s also a slight connection to Trannis, a lesser-known ancient Cybertronian from the original Transformers cartoon who rode another Transformer’s motorcycle and had a purplish color scheme in a flashback.

Like past releases, these new toys include a variety of weapons, such as axes, swords, shields, and blasters. Although we’ve only seen early versions so far, both these figures and the original colored versions are expected to be released this year. This timing makes sense, as 2026 marks the 40th anniversary of the original Transformers, with many iconic characters first appearing in the 1986 film, The Transformers: The Movie.
