5 Saiyans We’re Dying to See Go Super Saiyan 3 in Dragon Ball (#1 Is Unimaginable)

The original Dragon Ball series popularized the idea of characters growing stronger through transformations. This began when Goku first became a Super Saiyan while battling Frieza, dramatically increasing the power of all Saiyans. Since then, many other Saiyans have also achieved this form, and even more powerful levels, like Super Saiyan 2 – first unlocked by Gohan – have emerged.

Goku shocked fans during the Majin Buu arc of Dragon Ball Z by revealing Super Saiyan 3, a powerful form with a unique look. Ever since, fans have hoped to see other Saiyans reach this level, and Vegeta finally did recently. While Vegeta’s achievement is exciting, some other Saiyans are long overdue for the transformation, and it would be fun to see what others would look like in this form.

5) Vegito

Vegito, created when Goku and Vegeta fused together in Dragon Ball Z, was a powerful and unique character who quickly became a fan favorite. He combined the strengths of both Saiyans, offering an incredible boost in power and excitement. Many considered Vegito the strongest fighter in Dragon Ball Z, and viewers eagerly anticipated seeing him transform into a Super Saiyan 3, especially after Goku had already achieved that level.

Vegito never had the chance to reach his full potential before vanishing. That’s why fans are so eager to see what he’d look like as a Super Saiyan 3, especially since Vegeta now has his own version of the form. Vegeta showed that Super Saiyan 3’s hair growth isn’t uniform across all Saiyans, meaning Vegito could have a truly unique appearance. This makes the idea of a Super Saiyan 3 Vegito so appealing – he wouldn’t just look different, he might even be the most powerful Super Saiyan 3 ever.

4) Future Trunks

Future Trunks, a Saiyan from the future, was the second character in the series to achieve the Super Saiyan transformation. He quickly became known as a powerful and reliable fighter, ranking among the strongest Saiyans like Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan. Many fans believe he deserves to reach Super Saiyan 3, and it would be a satisfying moment for viewers. One of the most exciting parts of this potential transformation would be seeing what Future Trunks looks like in this new form.

Vegeta recently proved that a Saiyan’s power level isn’t the only factor in achieving the Super Saiyan 3 form, which makes Trunks’ ability to transform even more puzzling. If the series ever shows this transformation in the anime or movies, it will be interesting to see what the creators do with his unique appearance in that form.

3) Gohan

With Vegeta now having reached Super Saiyan 3, it’s Gohan’s turn. He hasn’t been a major focus in Dragon Ball Super until recently with his Beast form. Still, the series should let Gohan achieve Super Saiyan 3 too, showing he can reach the same power level as his dad – especially since Gohan was the first Saiyan to become a Super Saiyan 2.

Gohan deserves his own version of Super Saiyan 3, similar to how the series has given him unique versions of other transformations. This would be a great way to show that, even though he doesn’t want to fight, Gohan still has more potential than Goku and Vegeta – something the original Dragon Ball Z established.

2) Broly

Broly is unique among Saiyans, earning the title of Legendary Super Saiyan and consistently demonstrating power far beyond that of his peers. He returned in the movie Dragon Ball Super: Broly, eventually becoming an ally. In the film, he fought equally with Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta, suggesting his next transformation – possibly into Super Saiyan 3 – could make him even more powerful.

This change would really establish Broly as a one-of-a-kind Legendary Super Saiyan. What’s particularly interesting is how he might look, since his Super Saiyan forms have always stood out from other Saiyans. If his personality also shaped his appearance, a Legendary Super Saiyan 3 version of Broly could become one of the most impressive transformations in the entire series.

1) Nappa

Nappa is unique among Saiyans because he’s most famous for being completely bald with a mustache. This makes imagining him as a Super Saiyan 3 incredibly fun for Dragon Ball fans. Interestingly, the series has revealed Nappa used to have hair, meaning he either lost it over time or shaved it off. If he lost it naturally, fans wonder what he’d look like if he came back to life and transformed into Super Saiyan 3.

It’s fun to speculate how Nappa might look as a Super Saiyan 3 – would he grow long hair, or would the biggest change be his mustache and missing eyebrows? The mystery surrounding what he’d become is surprisingly interesting, and fans are eager to see if Dragon Ball will ever bring him back and explore this possibility. Sadly, it’s something we might never get to witness.
