Joan Collins, 93, Steps Out in Style at Variety Power of Women Event

It was an outing fit for a dame.

Joan Collins, 93, proved she still looks incredibly youthful when she attended the Variety Power of Women event in London.

For the June 3rd event, the star of Dynasty wore a long-sleeved gold sequin top paired with a black flared skirt. She completed the outfit with black flats, stockings, and eye-catching gold earrings.

Collins recently made a stunning appearance that everyone noticed, but she’s been busy with several events lately. Last month, she attended the Cannes Film Festival premiere of her new movie, My Duchess, wearing a breathtaking white Stephane Rolland Haute Couture gown and black opera gloves.

This year’s film festival was Collins’ first visit since 2018. Before taking on this role, she hadn’t been in a film since 2022. However, producer John Gore shared that her casting felt like fate, pointing to her appearance at the 2024 Emmys as the deciding moment.

At the festival last month, Gore told Deadline he noticed the audience reacting enthusiastically to her. He said people still remember her fondly, and perhaps even more so than before.

Indeed, Gore was “fascinated” by Collins’ impressive career.

He explained that she was a well-known actress. She had actually appeared in a film, Sea Wife, before Richard Burton, where she had a larger role and he was a supporting actor. He noted that she went on to have children and work primarily in television.

The actress, recently seen in A Murder Between Friends which came out earlier this year, isn’t planning on taking it easy, regardless of what she does next.

Collins shared with the New York Times in 2024 that people often ask him why he continues to work. He finds the question silly, explaining simply that he enjoys staying busy and that’s why he keeps working.

As one mother of three explained, she doesn’t want to be limited by her age. She believes focusing on a number is outdated and doesn’t matter anymore.

Although My Duchess premiered at Cannes, a release date hasn’t been announced yet. But if you’re planning to see the film, here are some other movies you might enjoy first…
