The animated series Amphibia concluded in 2022 with a satisfying ending and a look at what the characters’ lives would be like a decade later. Now, creator Matt Braly has announced the story will continue in a new comic book series called Amphibia: Strange Voyage, a collaboration between Disney and publisher TokyoPop. Braly recently shared that the comic will focus on the Plantar family, particularly the dynamic between Ivy and Sprig. He described how Ivy is excited for a new adventure together, while Sprig is still preoccupied with memories of their human friends. The comic will also explore the characters’ ongoing grief and adjustment after losing their human companions, with each character coping with the loss in their own way.

When we talk about ‘joke’ teams in comics, we’re usually referring to groups made up of less powerful or skilled characters – think heroes who aren’t exactly top-tier. These teams often appear in lighter, more humorous stories. Groups like the Inferior Five and the Great Lakes Avengers fit this description – they have heroic intentions but lack the abilities or experience of teams like the Justice League or the Avengers. Both Marvel and DC have a history of these kinds of underdog groups, and we’re going to highlight 10 of the best ones.

The Godfather trilogy – The Godfather, The Godfather Part II (1974), and The Godfather Part III (1990) – tells the story of the powerful Corleone family and their criminal activities. Marlon Brando is unforgettable as Don Vito Corleone in the first film, but the series primarily follows the dramatic changes in his son, Michael Corleone, played by Al Pacino. These films by Francis Ford Coppola are considered masterpieces, though some elements of this epic gangster saga may feel different or more challenging for modern audiences than they did in the past.

The model celebrated her 31st birthday on April 23rd and received many bouquets of flowers from friends and family. Her boyfriend, Bradley Cooper, sent a particularly beautiful arrangement.

Jack Nicholson, who hasn’t been seen much in public for the last ten years, celebrated his 89th birthday with his daughter, Lorraine Nicholson, and close friend, Joni Mitchell.

This is an early review, so rest assured, there are no spoilers! Here’s the premise: Dracula is back from the dead and surprisingly, he’s seeking redemption. His plan? Join forces with the British during World War II. He’ll be dropped into a Nazi train packed with soldiers, supervillains, and a dangerous vampire plague that could unleash a new wave of terror. Dracula must fight his way through, confronting his past and battling the evil Hazel and Ivy, who are leading the Nazis and seem determined to see him fail. It’s a complex setup, but Operation: Iron Coffin #1 handles it brilliantly and hints at a story with stakes far beyond simply defeating the Nazis.

Just like the comic books, the X-Men movies have shown us heroes dying. These deaths are often very emotional, especially when they mark the end of a character’s story. While each loss is sad in its own way, they all left audiences feeling a strong sense of grief.

In the episode “Dirty Business”, The Boys faced criticism for trying to make light of a scene where Hughie was sexually assaulted. Viewers understandably expressed their anger, and unfortunately, Hughie experienced a similar traumatic situation again in the following episode.
