I’m so excited! PlayStation is adding a bunch of new games next week on May 19th for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members. The biggest news is definitely Red Dead Redemption 2 – it’s an amazing open-world western game by Rockstar, and it’s actually coming back to the service after being available before! Besides RDR 2, I’m also really looking forward to checking out Star Wars Outlaws, and it’s cool that Premium members get exclusive access to Time Crisis.

Yutaka Nakasone, who was originally cast as Denji in Chainsaw Man The Stage: Reze Arc, will no longer be able to perform due to health concerns and a need for rest. The production team announced their apologies for any disappointment this may cause and confirmed that Taisei Nakamoto will take over the role for all performances. The show will continue as scheduled with Nakamoto in the part.

In Stuart Saves the Universe, we follow Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman), the comic book shop owner, as he accidentally triggers a multiversal crisis. He broke a device created by Sheldon and Leonard, and now it’s up to him to fix reality! The new show brings back familiar faces from The Big Bang Theory, like Bert Kibbler (Brian Posehn), Denise (Lauren Lapkus), and Barry Kripke (John Ross Bowie), to help (or maybe hinder) his efforts. Hiro Mashima, the creator of Fairy Tail, is starting a new Fairy Tail manga series in Weekly Shonen Magazine. It was originally scheduled to begin in August, but Mashima has finished his work ahead of schedule! Now, the new manga will launch on July 29th – a full week earlier than expected. Be sure to look out for it!

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has occasionally pushed boundaries with intense scenes, leading to a few projects considered too intense for younger viewers. After the premiere of The Punisher: One Last Kill on Disney+, a clip of a visual effects shot began circulating online. The scene shows Frank Castle falling onto a rooftop, and it’s obvious a CGI double was used for the impact. This looked noticeably different from the rest of the show’s realistic action sequences. I heard about a really strange movie pairing happening in Tokyo on June 7th! They’re showing Sharknado 6: The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time alongside the anime film King of Prism: Your Endless Call. It’s funny because these two movies couldn’t be more different – Sharknado is all about, well, sharks, and King of Prism focuses on ice-skating idols. There’s absolutely no overlap! Apparently, it’s happening at the Ikebukuro Humax Cinema thanks to a film distributor who loves shark movies and writes about them. They actually think both films are similar, claiming they both offer a kind of “brain relaxation through over-the-top entertainment.” It’s a pretty wild pairing, and you can find more details if you’re curious.

Mariko Tamaki’s writing and Amancay Nahuelpan’s art come together in Barbara Gordon: Breakout #1 to show that Barbara Gordon didn’t accidentally get captured – she intentionally allowed it to happen. This is because the villain, Savage, is using his Supermax prison not to hold criminals, but to control his personal enemies. Although this first issue focuses on setting up the story and Barbara’s risky mission, it’s a compelling read with all the elements of a strong prison thriller.

Following a lengthy legal dispute between the publisher and developer, Subnautica 2 is now available for players to try in Early Access. The length of Early Access varies from game to game – it could last a year or more, or just a few months as developers polish the final product.
