Minecraft Dungeons 2 Launches on September 29th, Coming to Nintendo Switch 2

The Nintendo eShop listing for Minecraft Dungeons 2 appeared online before its official announcement at the Xbox Games Showcase. It’s priced at $29.99 and will be available for both Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. The game supports up to four players in co-op mode, whether they’re playing together on one console, wirelessly, or online.

The game’s description includes fresh screenshots and story hints. It looks like players will face a “new evil,” and the conflict will take place across two different worlds. The Nether, in particular, seems like it will be expanded with more difficult obstacles this time.

If you pre-order now, you’ll get two unique hero skins, a cool cape, and a fun chicken pet. Like the previous game, we expect to add more content over time through Adventure Passes, such as new areas to explore, enemies to fight, and challenging bosses.

Based on recent leaks, the main game will feature a variety of areas to explore. Players can expect to journey through the Honeycomb Fields, including its forest, lake, and open fields, as well as a desert region with a fortress, mountain, and icy lagoon. The forest seems surprisingly extensive, with multiple entrances and a mysterious area known as the “Witchzone.”

We’re expecting Microsoft to reveal more information on June 7th during their event, so keep an eye out for updates. If a sequel to Minecraft Dungeons is indeed coming to Nintendo Switch, it makes a lot of sense for it to also be released on PlayStation 5, in addition to PC and Xbox Series X/S.
