The new strategy game, Star Wars Zero Company, from Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment, is launching on August 27th, according to a recent online leak. Gamers have been eagerly awaiting the game, and now we know it will be here in just a few months.
According to a source familiar with the game’s development, the title is confirmed to be launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Both standard and deluxe versions will be available in stores and online. It’s also expected that the game won’t have an early access phase.
What Is Star Wars Zero Company — And Why Does It Have Gamers So Excited?
Developed by Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts, Star Wars Zero Company was originally announced in 2025 as the first strategy game in the Star Wars universe to use a turn-based tactics system. The game is set during the Clone Wars and follows a former Republic officer who must create and lead a special unit, Zero Company, on extremely dangerous missions.
The trailer for Star Wars Zero Company shows players will command a diverse team of powerful characters. Alongside Hawk, you’ll find Mandalorians, mercenaries (both human and droid), and even a Jedi, each bringing their own special skills to the fight.
Okay, so I just read about Star Wars Zero Company, and it sounds awesome! Basically, you lead a small, elite squad through a really gritty Star Wars story. I’ll be playing as Hawks, and my team – Zero Company – gets thrown into this operation where we have to stop a new threat that could take over the entire galaxy. The catch? My team isn’t exactly a bunch of friends, so I’ll have to get everyone to work together even though they don’t necessarily like each other. It’s a turn-based tactics game, so it sounds like it’ll be a real challenge!
While EA and the developers haven’t announced a release date for Star Wars Zero Company, fans have another Star Wars game to anticipate this year. Star Wars: Galactic Racer will be available on October 6th, offering a return to a fan-favorite part of the franchise and acting as a long-awaited, though unofficial, sequel.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer offers a variety of ways to play, including single-player modes and online competitions with players on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation. According to the game’s developer, Fuse Games, the game is a fresh take on racing set in the chaotic world after the fall of the Empire. It focuses on an unsanctioned racing league where powerful groups fund the competition and new champions emerge.
