Xbox Game Studios Head Craig Duncan Has Stepped Down – Rumor

Twenty months ago, I became head of XGS with a clear goal: to support our game studios, teams, and the people who create our games. We aimed to release excellent games, build a stronger, more positive work environment, and position the company for future success. I’m pleased with what we’ve achieved, including several successful game launches that have benefited the business, according to an email I sent to staff.

Halo: Campaign Evolved Charting Strongly in Pre-Orders on the PlayStation Store

Looking at pre-order numbers, the standard version of the game is currently the most popular on the UK PlayStation Store, with the premium edition ranking within the top five. In the US, things are different – the premium edition is seventh in pre-orders, but the standard version hasn’t yet broken into the top ten. This difference could be because the premium edition offers early access to the game’s campaign starting July 23rd.

The Most Important Lightsaber Ever May Be About To Make Star Wars History (Again)

A lightsaber used by Luke Skywalker in The Empire Strikes Back is being auctioned off by Heritage Auctions. This prop, detailed in J.W. Rinzler’s book about the making of the film, is considered the most important lightsaber design in Star Wars history – it served as the model for all those that followed. The lot even includes a resin hand designed to be ‘cut off’ by the saber during scenes! Mark Hamill operated a hidden mechanism during filming; when he pressed a trigger, the hand and lightsaber would separate on screen, creating the effect entirely through practical filmmaking techniques – no digital effects were used.

I’m All for Ambition, but 1666 Amsterdam’s Three Timelines Feels Like Too Much

While we haven’t seen much of the unique gameplay in 1666: Amsterdam yet, its core elements seem inspired by other successful games. The currently available prologue doesn’t offer enough hands-on experience to know how players will interact with the game’s blood magic and witch rituals showcased in trailers. It’s still unclear if the game will focus primarily on narrative, similar to Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, or feature more intricate gameplay systems.
