Billbil-kun, a well-known and trustworthy source for video game leaks, has shared information about a new Hot Wheels game that hasn’t been officially announced yet.
The game, rumored to be called Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, is expected to be revealed at Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest very soon. It’s being developed by Milestone, the studio behind the well-received Hot Wheels Unleashed.
The game is expected to release on PlayStation 5 and other consoles on September 24th, 2026 – a particularly busy week for new releases. It’s also rumored to be priced at $49.99.
Honestly, they haven’t given us many details, but I’m guessing this new game will be another fast-paced, arcade-style racer – you know, the kind where you get to drive all those awesome toy cars we grew up with.
A trailer was apparently also leaked earlier today, but has since been removed.
So, I just read over at Insider Gaming that Hot Wheels Infinite Rush isn’t just track-based racing – it’s got a whole open world to drive around in! Apparently, the trailer showed that you can actually free roam, which is awesome. I wasn’t expecting that!
The Unleashed games were great arcade racers, and knowing Milestone is working on this new one gives me a lot of hope it will be good too.
We expect to see the game revealed at SGF, but it could also be announced at other events. Most likely, we’ll find out more within the next few days.
