Who Is Kevin Sobieski? Meet Andy Cohen’s New Boyfriend

Why, yes, we are watching what happens live in Andy Cohen‘s love life. 

The Bravo executive had a surprise guest when he celebrated his 58th birthday at Via Carota in New York City on June 2nd.

The host of Watch What Happens Live was spotted holding hands with businessman Kevin Sobieski as they left a popular Italian restaurant in his West Village neighborhood.

Despite remaining tight-lipped about a potential new relationship following his 2018 breakup with Clifton Dassuncao, the father of Ben, 7, and Lucy, 4, is hoping to find someone to share his life with.

Having kids has definitely shifted how I approach dating,” he explained on the Call Her Daddy podcast with Alex Cooper last October. “Now, I usually find I’m attracted to people in one of two ways: either I’m interested in a casual connection, or I see potential for a relationship. Ideally, of course, I’d like to find someone I can connect with both emotionally and physically.

So how did he end up shooting his shot with Sobieski? We’re telling all. 

Who Is Kevin Sobieski?

Today’s featured person is Sobieski, a Harvard Business School graduate. According to his LinkedIn profile, he’s been working in portfolio operations at the New York investment firm TPG since 2024, focusing on investments in the healthcare industry.

Before joining his current role, he worked at several well-known companies, including MacAndrews & Forbes, Newell Brands, and Bain & Company. He also spent nearly two years as a consultant, advising new businesses – even working full-time with startups focused on remote work and artificial intelligence for human resources.

He started his career in 2006 with a year-long position as a financial analyst at General Mills. Before that, in 1978, Cohen began his career at the international advertising firm Saatchi & Saatchi.

What Has Andy Cohen Said About Dating?

Cohen often jokes that while he has two children, he acts like a father figure to many others. He generally keeps his personal relationships private. Besides his long-term relationship with Dassuncao, Cohen dated John Hill, a Broadway actor and producer for Watch What Happens Live, in the early 2000s, while they both worked on Radio Andy.

Cohen explained to Cooper that he wouldn’t try to impress anyone he dated. He believes people should either want to be with him for who he is, or they shouldn’t.

As for his swiping habits, he’s on “every app,” he shared, and open to all different types of guys. 

He said it’s all about the feeling you get from someone. He’s looking for someone strong, confident, intelligent, and who has their own life and looks good too.

And they don’t necessarily need a degree in Housewives studies.

Cohen is an executive producer for all of the Housewives franchises, but he recently told Anderson Cooper something surprising: the few people he’s met through the Raya dating app, and actually gone on dates with, generally aren’t fans of his shows, Watch What Happens Live or The Housewives.

Who Has Kevin Sobieski Dated Before?

Sobieski’s background shows he’s a talented artist with a unique vision. Before working with Cohen, he collaborated on musical projects with Benj Pasek, a highly acclaimed composer who, with Justin Paul, earned an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) in 2024.

Sobieski and Pasek first appeared together at a performance of Dear Evan Hansen in Los Angeles in 2018. Their final joint curtain call happened after the 2022 Broadway premiere of the Tony Award-winning musical, A Strange Loop.

When Did Andy Cohen Start Dating Kevin Sobieski?

In April 2020, the pair both appeared in BuzzFeed’s virtual Passover Seder—a fundraising event for the CDC Foundation’s Coronavirus Emergency Response Fund—along with Sobieski’s boyfriend at the time, Pasek. However, they’ve only recently started publicly sharing their relationship.

Seeing John Sobieski at Cohen’s birthday party hints that Cohen’s dreams might be coming true. Though things were already good, you can see just how happy Cohen is in adorable photos with his children, Ben and Lucy.

Oh my gosh, it was the sweetest thing EVER! I was totally tearing up watching Benjamin with his dad at the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on February 4th, 2022. And get this – it was his third birthday! Can you even imagine? A star ceremony and a birthday? He’s such a little star himself, honestly. It was just the most adorable moment ever!

The musician, who presented Andy for his Hollywood Walk of Fame star, spent time with Andy’s son at the event.

It’s Uncle Anderson Cooper again!

Baby Benjamin celebrated his first Easter in cute pajamas snuggling up to his proud papa, Andy Cohen.

As soon as spring hit in NYC, the Cohen men were out and ready to soak up the sun.

Benjamin was thrilled for the start of the baseball season in St. Louis and proudly showed off his Cardinals gear. It was a gift from Cardinals pitcher Michael Wacha, whose name inspired Cohen’s dog’s name.

Benjamin met Mark Consuelos in early 2019 and we are forever jealous.

Andy Cohen shared on Instagram that his son, Ben, is all set to watch the Real Housewives of Atlanta finale, dressed in clothes Porsha Williams gifted him. Cohen playfully added the hashtag #KingBen!
