A new clip showcases a fight between Liu Kang (Ludi Lin) and Kung Lao (Max Huang). Kung Lao is back, despite dying in the first Mortal Kombat movie, and he’s even more dangerous this time around. The fight is a fast-paced exchange of blocks and dodges, as both fighters know each other well. They then unleash their special powers, creating a visually stunning battle that could be the best action sequence in the whole film – and the clip only shows part of it! As a longtime comic book and movie fan, I’ve seen a lot of characters orbit around the Fantastic Four. While Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben are iconic, they’ve always had a great supporting cast. I’ve put together a list of the best allies who’ve helped them out over the years – folks like other heroes, alien friends, and even family members – who aren’t official members of the team. It’s a surprisingly deep bench of characters, and I think you’ll be interested to see who made the cut!

Chapter 221, released on April 23, 2023, featured a long-awaited character return and is considered a high point in the story. Immediately after, Ryomen Sukuna challenged Gojo to a fight, confidently predicting his own victory. Gojo’s dismissive reply, “Nah, I’d win,” has become one of his most famous lines. Although Gojo ultimately lost to Sukuna, his sacrifice created an opportunity for other sorcerers to defeat the villain and restore peace.

The story follows Eren, along with his friends Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert. Even though the Attack on Titan anime and manga have finished, the creators continue to delight fans with new content and experiences. Recently, Wild Faery announced the first-ever orchestral concert tour inspired by the series, titled Attack on Titan: Symphony from Paradis.

The story picks up with updates on key characters from the original series, including the heartbreaking outcome for Yuji Itadori. The manga also gives Aoi Todo a proper and satisfying ending after largely leaving him out of the main plot.

Many anime series don’t achieve the huge popularity of hits like Demon Slayer, Chainsaw Man, and Jujutsu Kaisen. They also don’t always have the advantage of being created by famous directors like Hayao Miyazaki or Makoto Shinkai. As a result, these lesser-known titles often get overlooked, particularly by people who aren’t deeply involved in the anime community. While they deserve to be watched, they rarely generate much discussion outside of dedicated anime fans.

I’m a huge Miyazaki fan, and while everyone knows his incredible anime films, a lot of people don’t realize he’s also a talented manga artist! He actually wrote and illustrated Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind back in 1982, which he then turned into the amazing film we all love in 1984. It’s special because it was made before Studio Ghibli was officially founded – it came out of Topcraft! And it really is one of his masterpieces. The manga ran until 1994, and now, after 44 years, they’ve re-released a beautiful two-volume deluxe edition – I couldn’t be more excited!
