Two 1990 Sega Genesis Games Getting Special New Release on Nintendo Switch

Playasia is releasing a physical collection of classic games called Telenet Shooting Collection I + II, featuring six PC Engine titles and two Sega Genesis games. Pre-orders begin on April 2nd, and the collection is expected to ship between April and June of 2026. The games included are the Sega Genesis titles Granada and Gaiares (both from 1990), and the PC Engine games Avenger, Legion, Final Zone II, Psychic Storm, Kiaidan 00, and Browning (all released between 1990 and 1992). This collection is a Playasia exclusive and is only available on the Nintendo Switch – though it is playable on the upcoming Switch 2 thanks to backward compatibility.

I’m so hyped for the broadcast! They’re promising the very first look at gameplay from a ton of new games coming to Xbox and PC. We’ll see what both Microsoft’s studios and partners from all over the world have been working on – everything from the massive franchises we already love to some really exciting, up-and-coming indie titles.
