Noah Hawley, known for his work on Fargo and Legion, is planning a remake of the 2017 horror film Terrified for the big screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he’s producing and directing, and he’s collaborating with the original director, Demián Rugna. Terrified is considered one of the most genuinely frightening movies of the last decade, but it hasn’t reached a wide audience in the US, primarily being available on the Shudder streaming service. Rugna recently followed up with another chilling film, When Evil Lurks.
Although the main Uncharted story concluded in 2016, talk of a remake started when Shaun Escayg, the creative director of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, shared photos online from a research trip that looked similar to locations from the original game. While it’s possible Nathan Drake could return for the character’s 20th anniversary, I’d prefer a brand new sequel over a remake. The older games still hold up well, and a sequel would be a much more exciting path for the series.
The movie The Core isn’t known for being scientifically realistic. Directed by Jon Amiel, it follows a group of scientists and astronauts who travel to the Earth’s core in a special vehicle. Their mission: to detonate nuclear explosions and restart the planet’s rotation, preventing a global catastrophe. While screenwriter John Rogers claimed the movie was based on real geophysical ideas, most scientists consider its scientific concepts to be highly inaccurate.
