The popular franchise My Little Pony began captivating fans with its toys in 1982. After numerous TV shows and movies, the characters now have their own Trading Card Game (TCG). My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is a new TCG created in partnership between Kayou and Hasbro. It was first released in China in April 2025, and will become available to U.S. fans on May 1st. Look for the beautifully designed cards at major stores like GameStop and Barnes & Noble.

This animated film, originally released in 1998, brought the popular ‘90s TV show about Tommy Pickles and his friends to the big screen. It was a huge hit, earning $140 million worldwide and becoming the first non-Disney animated movie to make over $100 million domestically. The Rugrats Movie arrived on Tubi on April 1st, but it’s already been announced that it will be leaving the platform soon, although a specific date hasn’t been given.

While the movie Blues Brothers 2000 isn’t a masterpiece, the video game based on it is significantly worse. Released two years after the film – a red flag in itself – the game simply wasn’t very good and shouldn’t have been released. It barely resembles the movie and isn’t enjoyable to play. It’s a short, dull platformer with unimpressive graphics that feels like a cheap copy of other, better 3D platformers already available, leaving players regretting their purchase.

The classic game R-Type is returning on April 30, 2026, after being unavailable for years. We first mentioned its comeback back in September 2025, but a release date wasn’t known then. Now, we have an update: R-Type DX: Music Encore is coming to modern gaming systems. This isn’t just a simple re-release of the 1999 Game Boy Color game R-Type DX; it features plenty of new content alongside the original, making it a worthwhile experience. The game is being developed and published by City Connection.

In Season 5 of The Boys, the new superhero character, The Worm, acts as a mouthpiece for the show’s writers’ anxieties. He previously alluded to difficult series finales, even mentioning the controversial ending of Lost. Now, a conversation at Vought Tower brings up the poorly received finale of the in-universe show Lamplighter: Light of Justice, which The Worm wrote and received a D- grade from The A.V. Club. While he attempts to defend his work, it comes across as showrunner Eric Kripke directly addressing the audience’s potential concerns.
