The show For All Mankind has often featured the children of its original characters, like Kelly Baldwin and Danny and Jimmy Stevens, gradually giving them more important roles. Now that the series has moved into the 2010s and key original characters like Ed Baldwin are no longer around, the focus is shifting to a new generation. While Ed’s grandson, Alex Poletov, has been central to Season 5, the latest episode introduced another surprising connection to the show’s history: Avery Jarrett, revealed to be the granddaughter of Gordo and Tracy Stevens and the daughter of Danny Stevens.

Deadline reports that The Mummy earned approximately $13 million in its opening weekend in the US, landing it in third place. The Super Mario Bros. Movie topped the charts with $35 million, followed by Project Hail Mary at $20.4 million. Compared to other recent monster movie reboots, The Mummy‘s opening was lower than 2020’s The Invisible Man ($28.2 million) but outperformed the opening weekend of the latest Wolfman film ($10.8 million).

Trust Me: The False Prophet tells the story of Samuel Bateman and his attempt to gain control within the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS) after the arrest of its leader, Warren Jeffs. Following Jeffs’ imprisonment, a cult specialist and her videographer husband relocate to a Utah town with a significant FLDS presence. They aim to infiltrate a particularly fragile FLDS community where girls as young as nine are being forced into marriage.

This summer, Far From Home will launch its sci-fi survival game, Forever Skies, on Xbox Series X. Currently, it’s not planned to be available through Xbox Game Pass at launch. If that changes, players with Xbox Series X or S will need to purchase the game for $34.99, which is $5 more than the Steam version, but the same price as the PlayStation 5 version.

Many of these ideas weren’t fully explored, particularly the more recent ones. However, some were quite interesting, and the concept of a lightsaber choosing its wielder was arguably the strongest – we first saw this with Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber and Rey in The Force Awakens. Because lightsabers contain kyber crystals that are deeply connected to the Force, they almost seem to have a life of their own. This allowed the saber to sense Rey and guide her toward her future. Now, the new Maul – Shadow Lord series cleverly expands on this idea even further.

As a huge fan of the Absolute Universe, I’m always blown away by the artwork. With six main titles, there are close to a hundred standard covers already, and that’s not even counting all the special variants! These covers really help draw you into each story. I personally always know I’m in for something visually stunning with an Absolute Martian Manhunter book – Javier Rodríguez is a genius! The game is projected to have already earned around $30 million, factoring in different versions and prices across the globe. Initial sales on Steam alone are expected to reach two million copies within the first day, suggesting a very strong overall performance.

The next update should be a big one! It’s adding difficulty levels, making your inventory easier to manage with category tabs, and improving how distant objects look. Because of these improvements, this update is much larger than usual, so be aware of that when you download it.

The enemies of the Fantastic Four come from all sorts of places – from outer space and other dimensions – and are usually very technologically advanced. Some even involve magic, which Reed Richards, the team’s leader, has to figure out how to counter. Now that the Fantastic Four are part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there’s a great opportunity to bring many of their classic villains to the big screen.

It’s particularly satisfying to see the game’s lasting impact, considering it was once seen as a niche favorite – and that’s after a difficult development process just to get it released. Initially, Psychonauts was intended to be an Xbox exclusive, potentially making the character Raz a major console icon. Twenty-one years later, this is the story of how Raz nearly became Microsoft’s equivalent of Mario and how the game overcame a troubled development to become a cherished cult hit.
